The Swiss Association of Asset Managers (SAAM) is the leading industry association of independent asset managers in Switzerland. It was established in 1986 with the objective of creating a seal of approval for independent asset managers through self-regulation. As a lobbyist, the association aims at strengthening the industry’s reputation and protecting investors.  It also actively promotes training and further education.  Today, SAAM has more than 1,000 members, which means it unites more than half of all independent asset managers working in Switzerland who manage some two-thirds of all funds overseen by independent asset managers in Switzerland.
